Abel Personnel is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Administrative Specialist for a well-established organization in the Harrisburg area. This opportunity is ideal for an experienced administrative professional with strong accounting support skills who thrives in a fast-paced office environment.

This role offers the opportunity to become a key contributor supporting accounting operations, customer communication, reporting, and general office administration.
Key Responsibilities
Accounting & Financial Support
  • Process invoices, bills, payments, and financial documentation accurately
  • Manage accounts receivable and assist with collections activities
  • Prepare and distribute customer invoices
  • Resolve payment discrepancies and communicate with customers regarding outstanding balances
  • Conduct payout audits and verify financial accuracy
  • Support monthly sales tax preparation and reporting
  • Utilize QuickBooks and related accounting systems for bookkeeping and financial tracking
Administrative & Office Support
  • Maintain organized filing systems and records management
  • Perform data entry with strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Coordinate schedules, appointments, and calendars
  • Prepare reports, spreadsheets, and business documents
  • Answer incoming calls and provide professional customer service
  • Monitor shared email inboxes and respond to inquiries
  • Assist with front desk coverage and general office operations
  • Support additional administrative projects as assigned
Customer & Operational Support
  • Provide updates and documentation to customers and vendors
  • Coordinate scheduling and logistics related to customer pickups and transactions
  • Generate reports and communicate updates regarding transactions and item statuses
  • Assist with shipping coordination and related customer communication
Qualifications
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Previous experience in accounting support, bookkeeping, or administrative roles
  • Experience with QuickBooks or similar accounting software required
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Professional phone etiquette and customer service skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. as needed
