Computer Operator II - Richmond, VA
We are seeking a Computer Operator II for a Richmond, VA-based client environment.
This role is ideal for someone with computer operations, technical support, NOC, data center, or systems monitoring experience. The Computer Operator II will help monitor enterprise infrastructure, follow documented procedures, escalate issues, document incidents, and support recovery activities in a structured operations environment.

Responsibilities
- Assist with the daily operation of computer systems.
- Monitor enterprise infrastructure and escalate issues as required.
- Complete daily checklist tasks under supervision.
- Generate required reports and verify the validity and clarity of computer reports before release.
- Report problems to the Senior Computer Operator or supervisor.
- Respond to customer questions and follow up appropriately.
- Report incidents to senior personnel as appropriate.
- Assist with recovery activities needed to restore normal operations.
- Follow established escalation procedures across Computer Operations and related departments.
- Support senior computer operators as needed.
- Track and document issues using a ticketing system or tracking system.
- Maintain and follow SSAE 18 audit requirements.
- Assume duties or coverage for Senior Operators in their absence as assigned.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Two-year technical college degree or comparable experience.
- 12 to 24 months of computer operations experience.
- Comfortable working with computers, technical systems, and documented procedures.
- Ability to monitor systems, recognize issues, and follow escalation steps.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work 12-hour daytime shifts.
- Must pass a criminal history background check.
- Must pass an FBI-like background check required to obtain a gaming license.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in a computer operator, NOC, data center, help desk, technical support, or operations support environment.
- Experience with Linux or similar operations tools.
- Experience documenting issues in a ticketing system or tracking system.
- Experience monitoring systems, alerts, or enterprise infrastructure.
- Experience supporting audit-controlled processes, including SSAE 18 requirements.
