Abel Personnel is excited to present an outstanding opportunity for a Forensics / Malware Senior Analyst to join our client’s cutting-edge team in Arizona. If you're an experienced cybersecurity professional ready to take on complex challenges in digital forensics and malware analysis, this role is for you. Work closely with a high-profile federal client to protect critical systems from emerging cyber threats.
What You'll Do:
- Lead the analysis and evaluation of malicious code using advanced tools such as dissemblers, debuggers, hex editors, unpackers, virtual machines, and network sniffers.
- Prepare in-depth technical reports detailing malware identification, capabilities, parameters, and mitigation strategies.
- Conduct extensive research on malicious software vulnerabilities and exploitation tactics.
- Use your expertise in application and network security, reverse engineering, and advanced tools like IDA Pro, OllyDbg, and TCPDump to secure critical systems.
- Collaborate with a skilled team to safeguard vital DoD systems in a dynamic, challenging environment.
You're a Great Fit If You Have:
- Active DoD TS/SCI clearance (required).
- At least 12 years of experience in cybersecurity, digital forensics, or ethical hacking, with a strong focus on Risk Management Framework (RMF) implementation.
- Bachelor’s degree with 10+ years of relevant experience or Master’s degree with 8+ years.
- Certifications, including:
- GIAC Certified Forensic Analyst (GCFA) (required).
- One of the following: CISSO, CPTE, CySA+, CFR, FITSP-A, GCSA, GPEN, CCE, CISA, CISM, GCIH, GSNA, or equivalent military cyber training.
- ITIL Foundations certification (must be obtained within 3 months of hire).
- Proven experience managing complex technical projects within a DoD environment.
Bonus Points for:
- Experience leading technical teams and overseeing complex cybersecurity operations with minimal supervision.
- Strong expertise in working with military and civilian leadership to achieve mission-critical objectives and ensure program success.
