Job Title: Application Developer – IVR/Contact Center Systems (Hybrid – Harrisburg, PA)
Location: Harrisburg, PA (Hybrid – 1 day/week onsite, must be a Pennsylvania resident)
Compensation: $80,000 – $120,000 DOE (Depending on Experience)
Employment Type: Full-Time 

About the Role
Abel Personnel is partnering with a mission-driven organization in Harrisburg, PA, to find a highly skilled Application Developer with expertise in Interactive Voice Response (IVR) systems and contact center application development. This is a hybrid role (1 mandatory day in-office per week) ideal for a Pennsylvania resident who thrives in building enterprise-grade applications that support customer interaction, telephony integration, and business process automation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain IVR applications using ConcentrixIntervoice Development Studio, and Interaction Composer
  • Utilize ECMAScript and related JavaScript technologies to enhance user experience
  • Build ancillary applications using C# and VB.NET (preferred)
  • Integrate contact center systems with telephony platforms and third-party APIs
  • Interpret technical specifications to build application solutions in alignment with business needs
  • Conduct unit and functional testing to ensure robust, bug-free code
  • Participate in code reviews, technical documentation, and peer collaboration
  • Maintain source code repositories and follow version control best practices
  • Provide occasional on-call production support and troubleshooting

Required Skills and Experience
  • 3+ years of hands-on programming experience in enterprise environments
  • Proficiency in IVR/contact center development platforms such as Concentrix or Intervoice
  • Strong understanding of telephony systemsAPI integrations, and Java EE
  • Experience with SOAPREST, and Web Services
  • Proficient in Structured Query Language (SQL) and working with relational/NOSQL databases
  • Experience in the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
  • Familiarity with mainframe application development a plus
  • Strong knowledge of object-oriented programming and best practices
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, or related technical field (or equivalent experience)
  • Prior experience with C#VB.NET, or other .NET languages
  • Knowledge of system integration in highly regulated or public sector environments

Work Environment & Requirements
  • Hybrid Schedule: 1 day per week in the Harrisburg, PA office
  • Residency Requirement: Must be a current Pennsylvania resident
  • Availability for occasional after-hours support as needed for production issues
