Junior .NET Developer (Direct Hire-Hiring Immediately)
This role is remote-first but requires in-person travel to Harrisburg, PA, once per quarter.

Abel Personnel is seeking a motivated Junior .NET Developer to support high-impact initiatives for the PA Department of Human Services. This is a direct hire role designed for a developer who is passionate about writing clean code and eager to grow within a high-performing, collaborative team.
Compensation & Schedule
- Salary: $65,000 – $75,000 annually based on foundational experience.
- Benefits: Full, comprehensive benefits package included.
- Work-Life Balance: 40-hour work week (8 AM – 5 PM) with start/end time flexibility.
Geography & Residency (Strict Requirements)
- Hiring Priority: Residents of Pennsylvania and all surrounding states (MD, NJ, WV, OH, DE, NY) will be given first opportunity.
- Residency: Must currently reside in PA, MD, VA, WV, or NJ. Relocation is not an option.
- On-Site Travel: This role is remote-first but requires in-person travel to Harrisburg, PA, once per quarter.
- Availability: Must be video-capable and active during standard EST business hours.
Foundational Expertise Needed
- Technical Stack: Exposure to or professional experience with .NET Core, ASP.NET Core, and React.
- Data & Tools: Basic to intermediate knowledge of API Programming, PostgreSQL, and Git VCS.
- Quality Focus: A commitment to writing clean, maintainable code and a desire to participate in team code reviews.
- Growth Mindset: Ability to translate wireframes into functional web features under the mentorship of senior developers.
