A reputable Harrisburg, Pennsylvania law firm is hiring an experienced Litigation Paralegal / Legal Assistant with a strong background in civil litigation. This role supports attorneys across multiple legal practice areas and is ideal for candidates seeking a long-term opportunity in a professional legal environment.
Practice Areas (Preferred Experience)
We are seeking candidates with experience in:
- Personal Injury Law (including Medicare reporting and lien resolution)
- Real Estate Law
- Corporate Law
- Orphans’ Court / Estate Administration
- Landlord and Tenant Law
Litigation Paralegal Responsibilities
- Draft and file legal documents including pleadings, motions, and petitions
- Manage case files and maintain organized legal documentation
- Conduct legal research and case analysis
- Track court deadlines and manage litigation calendars
- Communicate with clients, court staff, and opposing counsel
- Assist attorneys with trial preparation, hearings, and legal proceedings
- Prepare and respond to discovery requests
- Support pre-litigation case resolution efforts
- Provide administrative support including scheduling and transcription
Requirements for Litigation Paralegal Position
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Paralegal Studies or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years of litigation paralegal experience
- Knowledge of Pennsylvania court rules, civil procedure, and e-filing systems
- Experience with personal injury cases preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal case management software
- Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced legal environment
