About the Opportunity
Abel Personnel is seeking a Network Engineer (Junior–Mid Level) for a full-time onsite position in Lancaster, PA. This role is ideal for a technically skilled professional with 3–7 years of networking experience who can manage and support complex network environments independently.
You will be responsible for maintaining, securing, and optimizing the company’s LAN/WAN infrastructure, ensuring high availability, reliability, and performance across all systems. Key Responsibilities
- Configure, install, and maintain routers, switches, firewalls, and access points across LAN/WAN environments.
- Design and implement network segmentation, VLANs, and VPNs for performance and security.
- Monitor and optimize network performance for maximum uptime and reliability.
- Manage and maintain DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, and subnet configurations.
- Troubleshoot complex connectivity and performance issues efficiently.
- Maintain and update network documentation, topology diagrams, and change records.
- Support Cisco, Meraki, or Fortinet network systems and related security solutions.
- Collaborate with IT teams and vendors on infrastructure upgrades and projects.
- Ensure network compliance with security standards and best practices.
Qualifications
- 3–7 years of experience in network engineering, administration, or infrastructure support.
- Proficiency in routing, switching, VLANs, VPNs, and firewalls.
- Hands-on experience with Cisco, Meraki, or Fortinet technologies.
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and subnetting.
- Excellent troubleshooting and documentation skills.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
- Preferred Education: Associate or Bachelor’s in IT, Networking, or related field.
- Preferred Certifications: CCNA, CCNP, or CompTIA Network+.
