Systems & Network Administrator

Position Summary
We are seeking a seasoned IT professional to manage and optimize our enterprise systems and network infrastructure. This role combines hands-on system administration, network operations, and application support with a focus on performance, security, and operational excellence. The ideal candidate is proactive, experienced in complex environments, and capable of guiding best practices across IT operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead installation, configuration, and maintenance of Windows/Linux servers, virtual environments, and enterprise applications 
  • Oversee email, collaboration tools, databases, and Citrix environments 
  • Plan and implement system upgrades, patches, and performance improvements 
  • Design, monitor, and maintain LAN/WAN and voice networks; troubleshoot complex issues 
  • Lead system and network monitoring using tools such as SolarWinds, Zabbix, BMC Patrol, and Tivoli 
  • Implement and maintain system security, access controls, and compliance with audit requirements (SSAE18) 
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior IT staff; support vendor evaluations and enterprise initiatives 
  • Participate in 24/7 on-call rotation and proactive incident management 

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Networking, or related field, or equivalent experience 
  • 5+ years of systems and network administration experience in enterprise environments 
  • Expert knowledge of Windows and Linux (RHEL preferred) 
  • VMware/virtualization experience; advanced Microsoft technologies (Exchange, Office 365, Active Directory) 
  • SQL Server experience; networking expertise (Cisco, Fortinet, LAN/WAN design) 
  • Experience with monitoring/performance tools (SolarWinds, Zabbix, BMC Patrol, Tivoli) 
  • Scripting/automation (PowerShell, VBScript) 
  • Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and leadership skills 
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities independently 
  • Flexible schedule, occasional field work, 24/7 on-call participation 
  • Must pass background checks and maintain compliance with corporate policies
