About the Opportunity
We are seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Administrator to join a dynamic HR team. This role plays a critical part in ensuring accurate and compliant payroll processing while supporting employees with payroll-related inquiries.

Key Responsibilities
Payroll Administration
  • Manage and maintain employee payroll master data, ensuring accuracy and compliance
  • Process bi-weekly payroll, including wage adjustments, retroactive pay, and deductions
  • Handle ACH transactions, reversals, garnishments, tax levies, and child support orders
  • Review and audit payroll data to ensure accurate employee compensation
  • Troubleshoot and resolve payroll discrepancies, including time and attendance issues
Payroll Reporting & Reconciliation
  • Generate payroll reports and verify tax accuracy and deductions
  • Balance and reconcile payroll records to ensure data integrity
  • Prepare timely and accurate payroll reports for leadership and audits
Compliance & Process Improvement
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations
  • Assist with payroll tax reporting and filings
  • Interpret payroll policies, procedures, and employment regulations
  • Identify opportunities to improve payroll processes and efficiencies
 
Qualifications
Required:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, HR, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 3+ years of payroll processing experience
  • Strong knowledge of payroll systems, payroll tax regulations, and compliance
  • Experience with HRIS/payroll systems (Workday strongly preferred)
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to explain payroll concepts clearly
Preferred:
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint)
  • Experience handling complex payroll issues, audits, and reconciliations
