Abel Personnel is recruiting on behalf of one of our long-standing, highly respected nonprofit clients for a Senior Community Engagement Coordinator.
This is more than a program coordinator position. It's an opportunity to create meaningful experiences for older adults by coordinating a vibrant weekday luncheon program that brings people together through nutritious meals, educational presentations, community resources, and social connection.

What You'll Do
You'll oversee the daily coordination of a well-established senior luncheon program while creating an engaging, welcoming environment for participants.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Coordinate the day-to-day operations of the senior luncheon program
- Schedule and host guest speakers, educational presentations, and special events
- Recruit, coordinate, and support volunteers
- Build relationships with community organizations, businesses, and local agencies
- Coordinate program logistics and participant services
- Monitor program participation and prepare reports
- Help identify new activities, presentations, and community partnerships
- Ensure every participant feels welcomed, valued, and engaged
- Represent the organization at community meetings and outreach events
This position offers an excellent blend of program coordination, event planning, community outreach, and relationship building. The responsibilities are centered on coordinating the luncheon program, volunteers, logistics, and community partnerships.
We're Looking For Someone Who
- Enjoys working with older adults and the community
- Has exceptional organizational and communication skills
- Can coordinate multiple moving pieces while maintaining a welcoming atmosphere
- Builds positive relationships with volunteers, staff, vendors, and community partners
- Is self-motivated, dependable, and solutions-oriented
- Brings experience in program coordination, nonprofit organizations, senior services, recreation, community outreach, hospitality, event planning, or social services
Preferred Qualifications
- 3–5 years of related experience
- Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Public Administration, Nonprofit Management, Human Services, Recreation, or a related field is preferred but not required.
