About the Opportunity

We are seeking a HUD Section 8 Compliance Supervisor to oversee voucher processing, special claims administration, and compliance operations within a multifamily housing environment. This opportunity is ideal for someone with strong expertise in HUD multifamily housing regulations, Section 8 compliance, TRACS, and housing subsidy administration who is looking to expand their leadership responsibilities in a collaborative, mission-driven organization.

What You’ll Do
  • Lead and support a team of 7–8 staff responsible for Section 8 voucher processing and special claims administration
  • Serve as the internal subject matter expert for HUD compliance regulations, policy interpretation, and procedural guidance
  • Ensure accurate and timely voucher submissions, including TRACS compliance monitoring and error resolution
  • Review, analyze, and respond to special claims, disputes, and appeals
  • Provide coaching, mentorship, performance feedback, and training to compliance staff
  • Support audits, reporting requirements, and compliance documentation requests
  • Act as liaison between internal teams, software vendors, housing partners, and regulatory stakeholders
  • Monitor workflow efficiency and identify process improvement opportunities
  • Communicate policy updates and compliance changes clearly to internal and external stakeholders
  • Help ensure regulatory accuracy across housing assistance payment operations
What We’re Looking For
Required:
  • 3+ years of experience in HUD multifamily housing, affordable housing compliance, or Section 8 program administration
  • Strong working knowledge of HUD Handbook 4350.3
  • Experience in roles such as:
    • HUD Compliance Specialist
    • Occupancy Specialist
    • Affordable Housing Compliance Analyst
    • Section 8 Program Specialist
    • Property Manager (HUD / Affordable Housing)
    • Contract Administration Specialist
  • Ability to interpret and apply complex HUD regulations and compliance requirements
  • Strong organizational, analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
Preferred:
  • Supervisory, leadership, or team lead experience
  • AHM certification or equivalent
  • Experience with TRACS, voucher processing systems, special claims, or housing compliance software
