Abel Personnel is seeking a Staff Accountant for a reputable organization in Lancaster, PA. This full-time, onsite position offers steady weekday hours, a collaborative work environment, and the opportunity to support meaningful financial operations within a mission-driven organization.
Position Overview
The Staff Accountant will support the Finance Department with maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable, assisting with payroll, and monitoring loan and investment activities. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, dependable, and enjoys working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Schedule & Work Environment
- Hours: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM or 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM (your choice)
- Lunch: 30 minutes
- Worksite: Onsite in Lancaster, PA
- Parking: Lot directly across the street (weekly payroll deduction applies)
- Interview: Onsite
- Start Date: ASAP
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and manage loan portfolio activity and cash receipts
- Process accounts payable and reconcile statements
- Assist with payroll processing and journal entries
- Prepare monthly financial and loan portfolio reports
- Support annual financial audits and budget preparation
- Track investments and ensure accuracy in financial reporting
- Participate in department and company meetings
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 2+ years of experience in accounting or finance
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Dependable, self-motivated, and comfortable managing multiple priorities
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) a plus
