Overview
Abel Personnel is hiring on behalf of our client for a System Test Analyst to support the Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) program located at Schriever Space Force Base in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
The System Test Analyst will play a key role in analyzing, evaluating, and validating system performance through data-driven testing and analysis. This position is ideal for an engineer or analyst with strong technical, analytical, and programming skills who thrives in a mission-critical defense environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in the development of performance metrics and statistical analyses to evaluate C2BMC system performance and reliability.
- Conduct data analysis, simulation, and system modeling to identify patterns and validate performance hypotheses.
- Perform data visualization and reporting, translating technical results into actionable insights for leadership and decision-makers.
- Support the test team in troubleshooting and anomaly resolution by correlating test findings with software and system performance data.
- Collaborate with cross-functional development and test teams to ensure consistent integration and performance validation.
- Develop and maintain automated software tools and scripts to support ongoing test and analysis activities.
- Document processes, findings, and results for internal and customer reporting.
Required Qualifications
- Active Secret clearance (must be current and in good standing).
- IAT Level II certification (Security+, GSEC, SSCP, or equivalent).
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or related STEM discipline.
- Proficiency in object-oriented programming languages such as Python, Java, or C++.
- Experience working with and manipulating large data sets for analysis and modeling.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in a Linux environment.
- Background in mathematics, physics, or data science with a focus on applied problem-solving.
- Working knowledge of ballistic or non-ballistic missile defense concepts, Command and Control (C2) systems, defense communications systems, and/or Space Domain Awareness.
- Familiarity with Missile Defense System (MDS) architecture and test environments.
Additional Details
- Position is primarily onsite at Schriever Space Force Base.
- Limited travel may be required (less than 10%).
- Occasional non-standard work hours may occur during key test events.
- Candidates without an active DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification may be considered, but must obtain certification within 60 days of start date.
