Paralegal Associate
Law Firm based in Mechanicsburg Pennsylvania looking for a Paralegal to join their team. Defense practices with health care, employment, corporate, transactional, estate planning and Worker’s Compensation. They set high standards for maintaining excellence in providing legal services to their clients, in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Maryland. Salary $52-$60K DOE
Responsibilities of Paralegal:
- paralegal will support primary the firm’s litigation and health care practices.
Drafting Legal Documents:
- Assist in the preparation of complaints, petitions, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
- Assist in the preparation of discovery requests, subpoenas and responses.
- Handle electronic filing with various courts in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Maryland at the state and federal level, as well as with administrative agencies.
- Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with senior attorneys, paralegals, and clients.
- Communicate clearly and empathetically.
- Provide regular updates to clients.
Qualifications of Paralegal:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in paralegal studies, legal studies, or a related field.
- 2-5 years of experience providing litigation support.
- Ability to work in Microsoft environment and modify PDF documents.
- Familiarity with WestLaw.
- Detail-oriented and highly organized.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
